PerthNow reported on 29 November 2021 that Perth-raised Pilates instructor Stefani Bertoncini had spent the previous three years training celebrity clients in Los Angeles, including Madonna. Bertoncini told the newspaper that Madonna’s first session at the studio where she worked led to the job. The report describes their work at that time; it does not establish Bertoncini’s current clients or employment.
Who is Stefani Bertoncini?
Bertoncini is a Pilates instructor from Perth, Western Australia. In a 2021 profile, PerthNow reported that she had left Perth about a decade earlier, worked in the United Kingdom and Dubai, and later spent three years training clients in Los Angeles. Those details describe her career as reported in November 2021, not a verified current location or roster.
An older, undated instructor biography from Natural Pilates describes her as a former dancer who moved into fitness and lists training in personal training, reformer and mat Pilates, barre, rhythm-based spin, hammock yoga and STRALA yoga. The biography offers background, but does not establish that she still works with Natural Pilates or that these credentials remain current.
How did Bertoncini start training Madonna?
According to Bertoncini’s account in PerthNow, Madonna came to the studio where Bertoncini worked and had a session with her. Bertoncini said she booked the work afterward and trained Madonna five days a week. The frequency is the figure reported in that 2021 interview, not a current schedule.

The profile also said Bertoncini traveled with Madonna to the Hamptons. It reported that she helped prepare the singer for a Rolling Stone cover shoot with Maluma and for a surprise appearance at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards. What did Bertoncini say shaped her training?
Bertoncini described athleticism and intensity as distinguishing features of her approach. “The athleticism and the intensity that I bring is my differentiation from other people,” she told AAA, as quoted by PerthNow. The available reporting supports a historical account: PerthNow’s 29 November 2021 profile said Bertoncini had trained Madonna and other celebrity clients in Los Angeles. A 2024 MUI Fitness article also names Bertoncini in connection with Madonna’s Pilates training, but that secondary mention does not verify a present-day working relationship. Current clients, location, studio affiliation and booking availability are not established by these accounts.
