Lauren Dunn drew attention during the Married at First Sight Australia 2024 premiere after joking at the hens night that she might pursue the other brides’ relatives and acquaintances. The scene was provocative, but the episode’s reactions were mixed—not a measure of what every bride or viewer thought.
What happened at the premiere hens night?
In a report published on 29 January 2024 at 7:58pm, PerthNow said Dunn attracted attention during the premiere’s hens-night segment. After a co-star warned her not to steal their man, Dunn replied, “Seriously, no one is safe,” then made a sexually explicit joke about pursuing the other women’s relatives, friends, boss and colleagues. PerthNow’s published version censors the profanity; the remark was intended as a deliberately provocative joke, not a report of actual pursuits. PerthNow’s report describes co-stars expressing shock in confessionals.
How did co-stars and viewers react?
The reactions cited in the report were not unanimous. PerthNow included one viewer criticizing Dunn’s manner and another calling her “sassy” and saying they were obsessed. These are individual examples, not a poll or evidence of a consensus among viewers. The headline’s “shocks other brides” refers to the co-stars’ reactions recorded in the episode, rather than a claim that every bride reacted the same way.
Who is Lauren Dunn?
PerthNow described Dunn as a Perth-based bride and the head of LCD Consulting, a public-relations firm with hospitality clients. Nine’s official participant gallery, published on 4 February 2024, identified her as a 32-year-old PR and marketing consultant from Western Australia. PerthNow also reported that she had split from former Fremantle Dockers player Ryan Crowley in June 2023, before filming began. The available coverage supports her PR work and interest in food; it does not establish a particular active food-blog publication.

When did Lauren Dunn marry Jonathan McCullough?
The hens-night remarks belong to the premiere coverage, not Dunn’s wedding ceremony. Nine’s official recap places her wedding to McCullough in episode five. In that later episode, the recap says Dunn arrived late, forgot her bouquet and came with flowers she had picked up. It also recounts provocative conversation and food-related remarks at the reception. Nine’s gallery quotes her vow: “I will respect you and support you but probably not obey you.” Those scenes and words are from the wedding episode, not the premiere hens night.
