Essential’s reported monthly price rose from $7.99 to $8.99, while Premium rose from $12.99 to $13.99. Annual prices rose by more: Essential went from $59.99 to $89.99, and Premium from $119.99 to $139.99. Your actual renewal charge may vary with your billing channel, renewal date, taxes, or promotion, so check the price shown in your account or renewal notice.
What are the reported U.S. prices now?
The figures below are reported U.S. prices. TechRadar reported that the increase took effect January 15, 2026; confirm the amount and timing shown for your own subscription, particularly if you pay through a third party or have a promotional rate.

These amounts are reported by TechRadar’s post-change coverage and its Paramount+ pricing report, rather than extracted from the official pricing help article. One TechRadar table appears to misprint the prior Premium annual price as $119.19; its separate pricing report gives $119.99, the figure used here.
How much did the increase add?
On monthly billing, each tier rose by $1 per month. Annual Essential rose by $30, while annual Premium rose by $20. At the reported post-increase prices, paying monthly for 12 months totals $107.88 for Essential or $167.88 for Premium, before taxes; the reported annual prices are $89.99 and $139.99 respectively. Whether annual billing is better for you depends on the price and terms displayed in your account, including any discount or offer.

When did Paramount announce the increase, and what reason did it give?
Paramount announced in November 2025 that it planned U.S. price increases early in the first quarter of 2026. The announcement did not specify the exact rates. Tom’s Guide reproduced the company’s statement from its Q3 2025 earnings report: “To support this continued investment, we plan to implement price increases in the U.S. early in the first quarter of 2026.” Paramount said the changes would support reinvestment in the user experience and a stronger programming slate. That was the company’s rationale, not a guarantee that any particular subscriber would see a specific improvement. Tom’s Guide’s November 11, 2025 report includes the announcement.
What does the increase mean for your next bill?
Paramount’s U.S. terms say a recurring subscription renews at the then-current price, plus applicable taxes and subject to applicable promotional discounts, unless you cancel or change it before the current billing period ends. A fully discounted promotional period also rolls into paid billing unless cancelled before it expires. The precise date and amount on your bill can depend on your renewal schedule, payment provider, taxes, and offer conditions. Read Paramount’s U.S. Terms of Use and verify your own account details.

- Check your Paramount+ account for the plan, renewal date, and displayed price.
- If you subscribe through an app store, bundle, or other partner, check that provider’s billing account and renewal notice too.
- Compare the monthly and annual totals, accounting for taxes and when any discount expires.
- Before changing or cancelling, review your billing-period dates and offer terms; the availability of a retention offer is not guaranteed.
