Patrick Houston Jr., the 21-year-old son of Memphis rapper Project Pat, was fatally shot in Memphis on January 10, 2025. Police said officers responded to the area of Ketchum Road and Long Street at 1:15 p.m. and found him with an apparent gunshot wound.
Who was Project Pat’s son?
Memphis police identified the victim as Patrick Houston Jr. Local station Action News 5 reported that he was the son of Project Pat. Entertainment Weekly reported that Houston Jr. was 21.

When and where did the shooting happen?
The shooting occurred on the afternoon of January 10, 2025, near the intersection of Ketchum Road and Long Street in Memphis, according to Action News 5. Entertainment Weekly quoted the Memphis Police Department’s initial account: “At 1:15 p.m., officers responded to the area of Ketchum Road and Long Street regarding a shooting. Officers located a male victim with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased on the scene.”
Was anyone arrested?
