Who bought PornWikiLeaks, and when?
On August 29, 2019, XBIZ and VICE reported that Bang Bros had acquired PornWikiLeaks.com and taken it offline. VICE said it independently confirmed the purchase and the shutdown statement with a Bang Bros spokesperson. XBIZ’s August 29 report reproduced the message that appeared on the site, while VICE’s report described its confirmation.
What did Bang Bros say about the shutdown?
The homepage message, reproduced by XBIZ, said: “We have purchased this site with the intention of shutting it down and removing all information associated with it.” It presented the closure as an effort to remove personal information from the site.
The message said more than 15,000 performers’ real names had been listed, with some entries also including phone numbers, addresses, and family members’ names. It also claimed the site’s forum, described as containing 300,000 posts, had disappeared. These figures and statements came from Bang Bros’ message; the reporting does not present them as independently audited totals.

Did Bang Bros destroy every copy of the data?
That is not established by the available reporting. XBIZ and VICE described a video publicized by the company that purported to show hard drives being burned. The video supports the narrower claim that Bang Bros publicized footage presented as drive destruction; it is not a forensic audit and does not prove that every copy, backup, or repost of the information disappeared.
What was the site’s earlier ownership history?
A federal complaint filed in 2023 alleged that GirlsDoPorn bought PornWikiLeaks.com from Donald Seoane in November 2015 and used it as a marketing tool. That is an allegation in a complaint, not an adjudicated finding established by the materials cited here. The complaint and case docket provide that later allegation.

In December 2023, the U.S. Department of Justice announced a resolution involving Aylo concerning admitted conduct related to GirlsDoPorn videos. That is separate legal context: it does not establish the PornWikiLeaks transaction or whether its data was destroyed. The DOJ announcement addresses that separate matter.
