Forbes estimated his net worth at $740 million in 2019, then later reported that he had about $200 million in cash after excluding his former Diageo and Revolt interests. That cash estimate is not a current net-worth calculation: it does not account for all assets, debts, or liabilities. Forbes’ reporting offers the clearest explanation of why his former billionaire narrative no longer fit.
What is Diddy’s net worth now?
No sourced, audited estimate establishes Combs’ total net worth as of October 2026. The strongest later figure in Forbes’ reporting is approximately $200 million in cash after the publication excluded his Diageo partnership and Revolt stake. Cash is only one part of a balance sheet: it is not the value of all his assets minus his debts and other liabilities.
Forbes estimated Combs’ net worth at $740 million in 2019. That is a historical estimate, not a current valuation. The gap between the two figures should not be read as a precise calculation of how much wealth he lost: they describe different things, at different times, and the later cash estimate is not a full net-worth figure. Why did Forbes’ billionaire narrative change?
The Diageo partnership ended
Forbes reported that the Cîroc partnership with Diageo was Combs’ largest source of wealth in 2019. It said the arrangement generated an average of $66 million a year from 2007 until its termination in 2023. That is historical annual income reporting, not a current valuation of the partnership or a continuing revenue stream.

He sold his Revolt stake, whose value was disputed
Forbes reported that Combs sold back his Revolt stake in early June 2024. A third-party valuation document it reviewed put Revolt’s value at $405 million in 2022, while a banker familiar with its finances told Forbes that the enterprise value was below $200 million. Those were competing historical assessments—not a confirmed sale price or a current valuation. Forbes also reported that Combs’ shares carried voting control but not financial control, a distinction that can make a controlling stake worth less than a straightforward equity share.

Revolt did not provide Forbes with a current valuation. The two figures therefore cannot be treated as a settled measure of the value Combs received. Forbes

- Real estate: Forbes reported that each of Combs’ two Miami homes and his Los Angeles compound was valued above $40 million, while around half of the properties’ actual value was tied up in mortgages. Gross property values are not the same as equity or net worth.
- Music catalog: Forbes had previously valued the Bad Boy catalog as high as $125 million, but said it thought the catalog would fetch much less. That earlier figure is not a current sale valuation.
- Other holdings: Forbes identified art, a Gulfstream jet, and a 20-car collection, but the reporting does not establish current market values for them.
- Sean John: The clothing brand was once associated with more than $400 million in annual sales. Forbes reported that Macy’s dropped the brand and its eyewear line was pushed out of optical retailers. Historical sales are not a measure of current company value or Combs’ personal wealth.
What the later business and legal reporting does—and does not—show
In July 2025, the Associated Press reported that Combs had fully divested from Revolt, Sean John had disappeared from Macy’s, and his music catalog remained available on streaming services. AP also reported that U.S. streams rose roughly 20% from April to May 2025 and then fell 5% to 10% in June, citing Luminate. Those listening trends do not establish Combs’ royalty income: the reporting does not provide a payout figure or a complete accounting of rights and revenues. AP
AP reported that a jury acquitted Combs of racketeering conspiracy and sex-trafficking charges in July 2025 but convicted him of transportation for prostitution offenses. At the time of AP’s overview, civil lawsuits remained pending; Combs and his lawyers denied misconduct allegations. Litigation can affect costs and business prospects, but the cited reporting does not provide a complete accounting of legal expenses, damages, or other liabilities. AP

A final order signed August 4, 2026, in the Southern District of New York forfeited specifically identified seized phones, tablets, hard drives, and storage media to the United States. It says the government would dispose of those items according to law; it does not state their market value or establish forfeiture of Combs’ wider estate. How to read any headline net-worth estimate
- Check what the number measures: cash, gross assets, or net worth after liabilities are different measures.
- Check the date: an estimate from 2019 or a valuation document from 2022 is not a current appraisal.
- Look for disputed private-company stakes: Revolt’s historical assessments differed substantially, and a voting-control stake is not necessarily equivalent to a directly valued equity share.
- Account for debt: property values cannot be treated as equity without deducting mortgages.
- Separate income from wealth: annual partnership earnings, past brand sales, and streaming activity do not by themselves establish present net worth.
