The studio’s synopsis centers on the champions’ fight against Shao Kahn and a threat to Earthrealm. Here’s what the official materials establish about the story, cast, creative team and viewing options.
What is Mortal Kombat II about?
New Line Cinema’s official synopsis says the champions are joined by Johnny Cage as they confront Shao Kahn’s rule and a threat to Earthrealm. That setup puts a familiar franchise conflict alongside the sequel’s new arrival; it does not, by itself, establish how the film develops either element.
