The episode is Season 2’s premiere and episode 12 overall.
What happens in “Tokyo Blade”?
The episode introduces the world and cast of the in-story stage play, then moves into the first day of rehearsal. This is the Tokyo Blade production inside Oshi no Ko—not a separate anime or manga title. Its rehearsals give the episode a practical focus: performers must work out how to bring the play to life while navigating the ambitions and rivalries of the cast.
In the rehearsal material, Aqua plays Touki and Akane plays Princess Saya. Their work puts Aqua’s personal motives beside the demands of the production: he is acting not only to perform a role, but also as one avenue in his pursuit of the truth behind Ai’s death. The unresolved mystery therefore follows him into the rehearsal room rather than remaining separate from his career.
How does Himekawa change the atmosphere?
Himekawa’s presence strongly stimulates the cast. His arrival adds a professional benchmark and makes the rehearsals feel more competitive: the performers are not simply learning their parts, but measuring themselves against someone whose ability raises expectations. That pressure sharpens the episode’s central tension between making a convincing production and pursuing individual goals.

What the ending sets up
The premiere establishes two connected stakes: whether the company can make Tokyo Blade work onstage, and what Aqua may uncover as he continues acting in pursuit of answers about Ai. It sets up those questions rather than resolving the larger mystery. This recap covers the episode itself; it does not include later-season or manga developments.
