What was Rachel Lynn Matthews wearing?
Matthews, an actor known for Happy Death Day, appeared in a shiny blue jumpsuit or bodysuit and a dark wig. E! News and Us Weekly described the look as resembling Perry’s outfit for Blue Origin’s NS-31 spaceflight; neither report establishes that Matthews wore an official or licensed replica. Bloom was dressed in skeleton makeup and a skeleton costume. E! News and Us Weekly reported that Matthews shared the images to Instagram Stories.
The costume reference points to Perry’s April 14, 2025 flight. Blue Origin’s NS-31 mission page lists Perry among the six crew members, alongside Aisha Bowe, Amanda Nguyễn, Gayle King, Kerianne Flynn and Lauren Sánchez.
Why did the photos circulate?
A second Matthews image reportedly recreated Perry kissing the ground after the flight. E! and Us Weekly reported that it carried the words “TAKE UP SPACE!!,” echoing language associated with the crew. The posts connected Matthews’s Halloween look to a widely recognizable moment from Perry’s flight, but they do not reveal Matthews’s reason for choosing the costume.

The photos were reported on November 10, 2025. E! and Us Weekly connected Bloom’s skeleton outfit to the Vas J. Morgan and Michael Braun Halloween party in Los Angeles on October 31; The Independent also placed him in that party context. However, Us Weekly said it was unclear exactly when Matthews’s photos with Bloom were taken, so the party setting should be treated as reported context, not a confirmed timestamp for the picture.
Do the photos mean Orlando Bloom is dating Rachel Lynn Matthews?
No. The images sparked online speculation, but a pose together is not evidence of a dating relationship. In a November 11 update, Cosmopolitan said the uncropped photo showed Matthews’s caption, “Will tell my kids about this one day @orlandobloom,” and described the encounter as a chance crossing of paths. That account is the outlet’s framing; the photos alone cannot establish the circumstances of their meeting or a relationship.

The Independent reported that Bloom and Perry announced their separation in July 2025 and quoted a joint statement emphasizing co-parenting. That reported history helps explain why a Perry-inspired costume beside Bloom drew attention, but it does not change what the photo can prove.
