What was the long-awaited One Piece release on Netflix?
It was the Punk Hazard arc of the original animated One Piece series. The November 1, 2024 CBR report, as reproduced by IMDb News, described the arc as part of Netflix’s November 2024 anime lineup. It said the episodes had first been expected in August, then were delayed by three months. The report did not explain why the schedule changed.
The report does not establish that the batch arrived on the same date or was available in every country. Netflix’s anime catalog can vary by region, so check the catalog for your location rather than assuming the 2024 update applied everywhere.
How does that update differ from Netflix’s other One Piece projects?
Netflix’s franchise includes an existing live-action series and a separate animated adaptation called THE ONE PIECE. The Punk Hazard news concerned episodes of the existing anime, not either of those projects.

What is known about THE ONE PIECE?
Netflix describes THE ONE PIECE as a fresh anime adaptation, distinct from the original series and the live-action show. WIT Studio is producing it in collaboration with Shueisha, Fuji Television Network, and Toei Animation Co. The announced first season adapts the East Blue Saga, covering the first 50 manga chapters in seven episodes with an approximate total runtime of 300 minutes.
