What “Big Change” sounds like
Pitchfork’s January 17, 2025 report quoted longtime Young engineer John Hanlon describing the track in a press release as “in your face loud irreverent rock’n’roll paint splatter on the canvas in the vein of a Jackson Pollack painting.” That is Hanlon’s characterization, rather than a formal genre label.
