Why was Mötley Crüe’s Las Vegas residency postponed?
On March 4, 2025, Mötley Crüe announced that its residency dates at Dolby Live at Park MGM were moving from March to September because Neil’s doctors had advised a required medical procedure. The announcement did not specify the procedure or name a diagnosis. Contemporaneous reporting on the announcement quoted Neil apologizing to fans who had planned to attend and saying his health was his priority so he could return to the stage.

Although the assigned headline refers to a “vocal ailment,” the band’s public explanation at the time did not identify a throat, voice, or vocal-cord problem. There is no basis in that announcement to describe the procedure as a vocal treatment.
What Vince Neil later said about his health
In a September 2025 interview with Las Vegas Review-Journal columnist John Katsilometes, Neil said he had suffered a stroke while asleep on Christmas night 2024. He said he awoke with his left side not working and had to learn to walk again. Those details are Neil’s account of his experience, reported in the September interview; they were not disclosed in the band’s March postponement announcement.

The interview provides Neil’s firsthand account, not independently reviewed medical records or a clinician’s statement. His later disclosure helps explain the health event associated with the postponement, but it should not be presented as a diagnosis the band announced in March.

The original run was scheduled for March 28 through April 19, 2025, at Dolby Live at Park MGM. The rescheduled run opened on September 12 and continued through October 2025. Tickets for the original dates were to be valid for the corresponding rescheduled shows, according to the band’s announcement as reported at the time. The residency is over, not an upcoming event.
Mötley Crüe’s official homepage states that its 2026 North American summer tour is over. That current status does not change the fact that the postponed Las Vegas residency was completed in 2025.
