Official series and character pages establish his path from inheriting One For All to a later life as a teacher who also returns to hero work. The first seven facts below are spoiler-light; the final three reveal later-story details, so stop before the spoiler heading if you want to avoid them.
Seven spoiler-light facts about Izuku Midoriya
1. He was born without a Quirk
Izuku starts out Quirkless in a society where about 80% of people have Quirks, according to the official anime introduction. That figure describes the fictional world of the series, not the real population. The contrast helps explain why his ambition to become a hero seems so unlikely at first. The official series introduction describes him as a boy without a Quirk who dreams of becoming a hero.
2. All Might chose him for his heroic qualities
Izuku does not receive One For All simply because he admires All Might. The official introduction says All Might recognizes Izuku’s heroic qualities and passes the Quirk to him. The character profile similarly says he was born Quirkless but had an inner aptitude for heroism that All Might recognized. The official character profile records that origin.
3. “Deku” is part of his official character identity
Deku is not a separate hero or a different person: it is Izuku’s familiar name in the series. The official introduction identifies him as Izuku Midoriya, also called “Deku.”

5. He is listed at 166 cm tall

6. Daiki Yamashita is his Japanese voice actor
The official character profile credits Daiki Yamashita as Izuku’s Japanese voice actor. This identifies the Japanese cast, rather than every language version of the anime.

8. His official profile records a return to Quirklessness
The profile’s Quirk history is written as “Quirkless ⇒ One For All ⇒ Quirkless.” In other words, the profile describes an earlier period with One For All and a later period as Quirkless; it does not present him as retaining the Quirk in that later status. The sequence is the profile’s summary, not an explanation of the transition’s mechanics.
9. Eight years after graduating, he is a U.A. teacher
The official profile describes Izuku eight years after graduating from U.A. as working as a teacher. It also says he takes part in hero activity, so teaching is not presented as the end of his involvement in hero work.

One broader measure of the series’ reach
The official anime introduction reports worldwide manga circulation of more than 100 million copies. The page does not date that figure, so it should not be read as a current-year sales total or as a figure for the anime alone. It is a series-level circulation claim from the official introduction: My Hero Academia’s official series introduction.
