My Angry Yakuza Girlfriend (MAYG) is a turn-based, third-person multiplayer shooter set in late-1990s Tokyo. Its story follows Miki-San, a socialite and heir to a powerful clan, after her boyfriend is taken. Players fight rival assassins in a nightclub setting.

Matches are free-for-all games for three to five players. One player acts at a time and has 15 seconds to choose weapons and commit to a move; the last player standing wins. Weapons differ in range, splash damage, and knockback, while environmental damage can alter cover and players’ positions. The official site describes the game as a live PC title and offers it as a free download through a launcher: MAYG official site.
What did Xai announce, and what is confirmed now?
On July 11, 2024, Xai Foundation announced a strategic partnership with Peeking Duck Studios and said MAYG would be the first studio title to go live on Xai, with an exclusive debut planned. Xai Foundation’s announcement establishes what was planned at that time, not a present-day launch date.

GamesBeat’s July 11, 2024 coverage, updated June 18, 2025, reported on the partnership and included a projected open-beta timeline. That timeline is historical and should not be read as a current schedule. Xai’s games catalog lists MAYG as an original social competitive PC game modeled on 1990s Tokyo. The current MAYG site says the game is live on PC and links to on-chain assets, but the reviewed pages do not confirm a current Xai deployment date or a chain contract for gameplay assets. Nor do they say that a wallet is required to access standard matches.
Is MAYG free, and do players need a wallet?
The official site promotes a free PC download and describes a standard account using an email address, password, and player name. Separately, it describes a Platinum account path for MAYG collectible holders, with wallet verification by QR scan. This distinction matters: the Platinum option is not presented as a requirement for every player to download and play.

The site links to the Princess Collection, Black Card, and $MAYG token. It also describes room progression through Tiffany, Bulgari, and Cartier, including a room staked in $MAYG, as well as an Angry Point earned per match and daily refreshes. These are changeable game and asset details, not evidence of a token’s value, liquidity, or investment prospects. Check the live official site for current eligibility and operational terms before relying on them.

The official site says voice chat is enabled in every match. Controls, audio, and video options are available from the lobby or in-game menu. Because the game is built around short turns and multiplayer interaction, check voice-chat and control settings before joining if you want to adjust them.
