The red-and-blue Star Wars OREO collaboration was a 2024 limited-time release, not a new 2026 launch. The planned presale began May 30, 2024, with a nationwide retail rollout scheduled for June 10, 2024. Current availability of those specific packs has not been verified.
What were the Star Wars OREO cookies?
Announced in May 2024, the collaboration paired classic OREO cookies with Star Wars-inspired packaging and colored creme. Packs represented either the light side, with blue creme, or the dark side, with red creme. Buyers reportedly would not know which side they had until opening the package.
The creme was described as containing “kyber” sugar crystals inspired by lightsaber cores. The release featured 20 character designs. Gizmodo named Darth Vader, Darth Maul and a stormtrooper among the dark-side examples, and Luke Skywalker, Yoda and Princess Leia among the light-side examples; its main report did not enumerate all 20.
What did the designs look like?
The character artwork was credited by Gizmodo to Lucasfilm illustrator Greg Hildebrandt, whom the publication described as having worked on Star Wars posters since 1977. The character designs and the red-versus-blue creme were the reported distinctions between the two sides. The available report does not establish a difference in the base cookie recipe or taste.

Where can you buy Star Wars OREO cookies now?
Current stock of the red- and blue-creme 2024 packs is unverified. OREO’s official site lists a separate item, OREOiD Special Edition Star Wars 12ct, described as a box of fudge-dipped, sprinkled classic OREO cookies with Star Wars designs. The listing does not establish that this is the same product as the 2024 light- and dark-side collaboration.
