PerthNow’s December 22, 2023 photo gallery captured The Station’s summer launch in South Perth, where more than 200 people attended. The opening-era venue combined a basement restaurant, an upstairs pub and alfresco space in a restored former police station.
What the launch gallery documents
PerthNow described the opening as a summer-evening event with “a buzzing crowd of more than 200 people.” That figure is the publication’s estimate for the 2023 launch, not a current attendance measure or a count of named guests. The gallery credits photographer Alan Chau.
The published captions identify some people pictured, but they do not amount to a complete guest list. The gallery is a record of the event and its crowd, rather than a review or a comprehensive account of everyone who attended.
How The Station was configured at launch
The December 2023 report presented The Station as a multi-venue hospitality precinct from Nokturnl, set in a restored, heritage-listed former police station and officers’ quarters dating to 1908. Its launch-era description included:

These details describe the venue as reported at launch; they should not be read as a guarantee that every component or service remains unchanged.
What changed after the opening
The launch gallery’s basement restaurant was Ludo. The Station’s current official website instead presents BANGLA as the dining experience beneath the venue and says it opened on June 19, 2026. That later restaurant identity is current context, not part of the 2023 launch-night story.
