Spoilers for One Piece Chapter 1118. Bonney uses her Distorted Future ability to take on a Nika-like form. The scene does not establish that she permanently gains Luffy’s Devil Fruit or Gear 5.
What powers does Bonney reveal in Chapter 1118?
Bonney’s new display is an application of her own age-related power, Distorted Future: she reaches a possible future in which she takes on a Nika-like appearance. A chapter summary reports that Luffy encourages her before the transformation. The important distinction is that the scene is framed around Bonney’s ability, not a confirmed transfer of Luffy’s powers.
Did Bonney get Gear 5 or become Nika?
Chapter 1118’s reported reveal supports saying that Bonney takes on a Nika-like form through Distorted Future. It does not establish that she literally becomes Luffy, acquires his Devil Fruit, or permanently inherits Gear 5. Similar appearance is not proof of shared powers.
What does the transformation tell us—and what remains unknown?
The scene shows a capability, but the available account does not establish how long Bonney can maintain the form, whether she can repeat it at will, what its combat limits are, or what it costs her. Those details should not be treated as settled based on this reveal alone.
