Keep mixed canon/filler episodes in your watch order: they may contain story material adapted from the manga. The skip list is a dated guide through episode 1,030, not a guarantee that every newer episode has been classified.
What episodes should you skip in One Piece?
These ranges are commonly classified as pure filler by AnimeFillerList.com’s tracker. They are optional for a manga-faithful main-plot watch; the labels are third-party classifications, not official determinations by Toei Animation, Shueisha, or Eiichiro Oda. Arc names can vary between guides, particularly for short detours inside larger story arcs.

Do not extend the 220–225 skip through episode 226: the tracker classifies 226 as mixed. Likewise, some lists include episode 628 in the Caesar Retrieval detour, but it is classified as mixed, so retain it unless you check its canon material individually.
Which episodes are mixed canon and filler?
Mixed episodes combine manga-story scenes with anime-only material. AnimeFillerList.com identifies the following as mixed; don’t skip the full episode without checking a reliable scene-level guide:

Digital Citizen also cautions that mixed episodes can contain important canon scenes. Anime-only padding within one is different from an entirely filler episode, so keeping the whole episode is the safer choice when plot completeness matters.
Which One Piece filler arcs are worth watching?
G-8 (episodes 196–206)
G-8 is filler, but GamesRadar describes it as a funny, smart adventure, and Digital Citizen also recommends it as an optional watch. It is a strong pick if you want a self-contained detour rather than the fastest route through the manga plot.

Post-Alabasta (episodes 131–135)
GamesRadar recommends these character-focused episodes. They are not needed for the manga’s core story, but may appeal if you want more time with the crew.
Boss Luffy specials
The historical specials at episodes 291, 292, 303, 406, and 407 are another optional choice recommended by GamesRadar. They are separate from the main plot.

Ocean’s Dream and movie tie-ins
Digital Citizen calls Ocean’s Dream (220–224) a short, self-contained story. The tie-in arcs for Film: Z (575–578), Film: Gold-era Silver Mine (747–750), Stampede-era Cidre Guild (895–896), and Film: Red (1029–1030) are optional setup, not prerequisites for the manga plot or the films.
How current is this One Piece filler list?
The exhaustive episode ranges above cover the common list through episode 1,030. AnimeFillerList.com’s tracker was updated June 28, 2026 and reported 1,168 aired episodes and 94 filler episodes—about 8% by its classifications. A separate Anime Filler List Editorial Team page updated September 2026 reported 1,180 total episodes, with 94 filler, 1,022 canon, 43 mixed, and 21 anime-canon. These are third-party tracker counts, not official statistics, and the episode totals and classifications can change as the anime continues.

The September 2026 page supplies a newer total, but its visible quick list does not provide an equivalent exhaustive range list. Do not infer skip ranges after episode 1,030 from the total alone; consult the tracker’s current episode-by-episode list before extending this guide. The September page estimates 38 hours saved by skipping filler, but that is its calculation and depends on its classification and runtime assumptions.

- For manga-plot completeness: skip only the pure-filler ranges above and keep mixed episodes.
- For a faster watch: skip pure filler and recaps, accepting that you’ll miss anime-original side stories.
- For extra crew stories or movie context: watch selected optional arcs such as G-8, Post-Alabasta, or a film tie-in.
Filler describes how an episode relates to the manga, not whether it is good. The right choice depends on whether you value plot pace, extra character time, or anime-original adventures.
