The Paris 2024 Olympic opening ceremony took place on 26 July 2024. Its best-documented headline performers were Lady Gaga, Aya Nakamura and Céline Dion, alongside several other musicians and artists. This is a confirmed performers list, not a complete register of every cameo: the available official material does not establish an exhaustive roster of all guests and public figures seen during the ceremony.
Headline performers
Lady Gaga
Gaga performed “Mon truc en plumes,” a song associated with French entertainer Zizi Jeanmaire. The number drew on cabaret and music-hall traditions. Paris 2024’s report highlighted her performance. Gaga said she wanted to celebrate French art and music and create a performance that would warm France’s heart, in a statement attributed to her Instagram by GRAMMY.com.
Aya Nakamura
Nakamura performed with the Republican Guard at the Pont des Arts, according to the Paris 2024 newsroom.
Céline Dion
Dion closed the ceremony from the Eiffel Tower with Édith Piaf’s “Hymne à l’amour.” Her official site announced the live performance release.

Is this every cameo from the ceremony?
No. These sources support a list of prominent performers and reported appearances, not every celebrity cameo, guest appearance or visible public figure. A claim that this is the full list would go beyond what the official report and media guide establish. The distinction matters because a performance lineup is not the same thing as a complete cast list.

The International Olympic Committee’s 2025 Paris 2024 report gives a television audience of 24.4 million viewers in France for the opening ceremony. This is a France-specific figure, not a global audience total. The IOC’s Paris 2024 reports are the source.
