Olivia Rodrigo’s GUTS World Tour brought sharp pop-punk energy, vulnerable songwriting and arena-scale spectacle together in a lively show that reviewers found compelling. Reports from different dates describe a set built around both GUTS and SOUR, with Rodrigo’s performance and her connection to a singing, screaming crowd at its center.
How was Olivia Rodrigo’s GUTS World Tour?
Reviewers described an energetic, effective concert that made Rodrigo’s emotionally direct songs feel at home in a large arena. In the Associated Press’s year-end concert roundup, the music was characterized as glossy pop-punk for an all-ages audience, with its anger and feeling reaching listeners. AP highlighted her April 5, 2024, performance at Madison Square Garden; that account and the Philadelphia review cover different shows, not a single universal experience.
At the July 19, 2024, Wells Fargo Center date in Philadelphia, Dan DeLuca of The Philadelphia Inquirer described a spirited, entertaining performance. He framed Rodrigo’s writing through pop-punk and rock influences, including Avril Lavigne and a garage-rock edge in “Obsessed” and “All-American Bitch.” Those are the reviewer’s critical comparisons, rather than claims that Rodrigo formally identified those influences.
What made the Philadelphia show stand out?
A crowd that sang along
The Inquirer reported that the Philadelphia audience sang and screamed along through a 23-song set lasting 1 hour and 45 minutes. Those figures apply to that July 19 performance; they should not be treated as the tour’s standard length or running order.

A full band and a moonlit flight
DeLuca described Rodrigo performing with her road-tested all-female band. The show’s most distinctive visual moment came when she sat on a suspended crescent moon that floated among illuminated stars above the audience while she sang “Logical” and “Enough for You.” The review also noted that she called for cheers from opposite sides of the arena. These details document the Philadelphia staging and should not be assumed to have appeared identically at every stop.
What songs did Olivia Rodrigo perform on the GUTS tour?
The reported setlists combined songs from GUTS with earlier material from SOUR. The UK reference from Official Charts lists 22 songs, opening with “bad idea right?” and ending with “good 4 u” and “get him back!” It includes “vampire,” “drivers license” and “deja vu,” among other songs. That list is a UK setlist reference, not confirmation that every date followed the same order or included the same number of songs.

The Philadelphia review, by contrast, reports a 23-song set that opened with “Bad Idea, Right?” The difference is a reminder to qualify any setlist by date or region: the available accounts document particular performances, rather than one definitive tour-wide list.
How did the tour vary by date?
Support acts and set details depended on the stop. The September 2023 AP announcement described the tour as Rodrigo’s first arena tour and an initial 57-date run, naming Remi Wolf, Chappell Roan, PinkPantheress and The Breeders among the announced supporting acts. At the Philadelphia date reviewed by the Inquirer, PinkPantheress opened. That pairing should not be taken as the opener for every show.

Universal Music Japan reported that the tour began on February 23, 2024, and linked to a report on the first night. Together, these sources place the show in the context of a large international arena tour, while the reviews offer snapshots of specific dates rather than a comprehensive record of every performance.
