What is the Baby Beetlejuice collectible?
It is a retail replica doll made by NECA, based on Baby Beetlejuice’s appearance in Tim Burton’s 2024 sequel. NECA’s description, quoted by Gizmodo, called it a “life-size replica doll of the breakout character from the 2024 film Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.” The report described the doll as 1:1 scale.
That wording refers to the character replica, not to an original film prop. The doll was presented as a display collectible with limited articulation; it should not be mistaken for the puppet operated on set.
How is the NECA doll different from the movie puppet?
The production puppet was a more expressive, puppeteer-operated prop. Gizmodo reported that multiple puppeteers operated it, allowing its head and eyes to move and its face to make expressions. Actor Justin Theroux called it his favorite prop in the film: “That was my favorite prop in the whole movie—like, an incredible piece of machinery and artwork. It is a sculpture and it’s a character in its own right. It’s so funny.”

NECA’s replica captures the character’s appearance but is less expressive than the filming puppet. Its reported five articulation points and posable eyes offer some movement, but the source does not say that it reproduces the puppet’s internal mechanism.

NECA described the product as a life-size replica, and the report identified it as 1:1 scale. The practical measurements given were 14 inches seated and 19 inches lying flat. The available report does not provide a separate set of measurements for the film puppet, so those labels should be understood as NECA’s product description rather than an independently verified comparison with the prop.
