When did Tim Blackwell and Monique split?
PerthNow reported on 11 December 2023 that Monique had announced their separation on Instagram. The report described them as having been together for 14 years and named their three children as Bo, Alfie and Artie. The 14-year figure is the duration reported at the time, not a precise separation date. PerthNow’s December 2023 report is the source for the announcement; the original post was not independently retrieved.
What did Monique say about the separation?
PerthNow reproduced Monique’s words: “Not all good things end, but this has. Thank you in advance for your messages of love, support and sadness at the news that Tim & I are no longer together,” she wrote.
The report also quoted her describing their approach to parenting: “Our babes are forever supported by Tim’s and my love for them. And our friendship together is a source of strength for our family always, as we raise our children as best friends.” These are statements as reported by PerthNow, rather than wording independently verified against the original Instagram post.

The former family home
In September 2025, realestate.com.au reported that the couple’s Stanmore family home had been listed for sale and referred to the marriage as having ended two years earlier. The article identified Monique as Monique Pickles and said she had operated a yoga studio from the property. The interim AVO report
7NEWS reported on 12 March 2026, with an update on 13 March, that an interim AVO had been granted and the matter was heard in Newtown Local Court. According to the report, the interim order remained in place until the matter returned to court. It also reported that Blackwell’s lawyer would vigorously defend the matter and quoted the legal representative as saying, “it appears the AVO is being used as a weapon as opposed to a shield.”
