PerthNow’s 27 June 2024 report on TikTok food reviewer Nikki Theo’s visit to Christo’s in Landsdale does not establish the restaurant as home to Perth’s best chicken burger. Theo liked the burger and said it was “definitely up there,” but rated it about 8 out of 10 and said her existing favourite would be hard to beat.
What did Nikki Theo order at Christo’s?
The meal reported by PerthNow on 27 June 2024 included a chicken burger, a fried chicken tender, hot chips and Christo’s special sauce. Theo commented on the chips’ seasoning and crunch, then gave separate ratings to the chips, tender and burger.
How did she rate the food?
- Hot chips: Theo praised their seasoning and crunch, saying, “They’re super crunchy as well!” She called the rating “a hard 10.”
- Fried chicken tender: She said it “Could do with more seasoning, but I give that an 8 out of 10.”
- Chicken burger: Theo said, “It’s good, but I would maybe give it an 8 out of 10.”
These are Theo’s individual opinions as reported by PerthNow, not scores from a poll or a broader restaurant ranking.
Did Theo call it Perth’s best chicken burger?
No. Before rating the burger, Theo said, “I do have a place in mind that is my favourite place to get a fried chicken burger, so I think that would be very hard to top,” and added that Christo’s was “definitely up there.” Her comments describe a good burger that she rated highly, while stopping short of calling it the best in Perth or the best she had tried.

The “best burger in city” wording in the story’s headline is therefore a hook, not Theo’s final verdict. The report does not name the restaurant she considered her favourite, so it cannot support a direct comparison between the two venues.
