Nikki Garcia, known professionally as Nikki Bella, was reported to have agreed to pay Artem Chigvintsev $3,500 a month in child support and a separate $200,000 lump sum in their divorce settlement. The financial and parenting terms were reported on May 16, 2025, based on court documents obtained by TMZ; Garcia later described the lump sum as spousal support or alimony on her podcast.

What the reported settlement says

Us Weekly and the San Francisco Chronicle reported that the couple reached a private settlement through mediation in November 2024. The details became public on May 16, 2025, in reports citing court documents obtained by TMZ. The outlets’ accounts are reports of those documents; they are not an independently reviewed copy of the settlement agreement.

Reported term What was reported
Child support Garcia would pay Chigvintsev $3,500 per month for their son, Matteo.
Lump-sum payment A separate $200,000 payment, reportedly split into two $100,000 installments, with the second due before the end of 2025.
Speech therapy Garcia would cover Matteo’s speech-therapy costs.
Extracurricular activities The parents would share the expenses.
Major holidays The parents would alternate major holidays.
Trusts Us Weekly reported that Garcia would receive two trusts formed in her name.

These are distinct reported financial terms: the $3,500 monthly obligation was identified as child support, while the $200,000 was described in the May 16 reports as a lump-sum payment. When Garcia later discussed that amount herself, she called it spousal support or alimony.

What Nikki Garcia said about the $200,000

On the May 22, 2025, episode of The Nikki & Brie Show, Garcia addressed public attention around the settlement: “Everyone’s had opinions about Artem and I’s divorce settlement. It’s everywhere,” Us Weekly reported her saying.

She also said, “Yes, I had to give him $200,000. Spousal support, alimony.” That is Garcia’s own characterization of the payment on the podcast, rather than a quotation from the settlement document. She discussed child support separately, so the lump sum should not be conflated with the monthly $3,500 obligation.

Settlement, restraining orders and the separate criminal case

Us Weekly quoted an unnamed representative for Garcia as saying: “Nikki and Artem have settled their divorce and will not be going to court.” The representative added that both parties decided to drop their domestic-violence restraining orders “in an effort to move on with their lives and effectively coparent their son.” This describes the representative’s account of the parties’ decision; it does not determine the truth of allegations connected with the orders.

The divorce settlement is separate from the criminal-case context. The San Francisco Chronicle reported that Napa County District Attorney Allison Haley announced in September 2024 that her office would not pursue charges against Chigvintsev. The reporting describes an arrest and allegations, not a finding of guilt. Garcia later said her divorce was not about the August 2024 incident.

When the agreement was reached and when its terms became public

The couple reportedly settled privately through mediation in November 2024. The financial and parenting details were reported publicly on May 16, 2025; Garcia’s podcast comments followed on May 22. The distinction matters: the reported settlement terms and Garcia’s later explanation come from separate accounts and should be attributed accordingly.
