Here are progressive hints and the reported solutions for the NYT Pips Easy, Medium, and Hard puzzles dated Wednesday, February 11, 2026. The walkthrough below follows an independent fan-made archive, not an official New York Times solution. Stop at the hint for a difficulty if you want to solve the board yourself; the full solution details follow the spoiler warning.
How to use these Pips hints
Pips asks you to place dominoes on a grid while meeting the conditions shown in its colored regions. The game offers Easy, Medium, and Hard puzzles; the February 11, 2026 archive identifies them as puzzle IDs 595, 624, and 648, respectively. You can open the official NYT Pips game. General mechanics and the three daily difficulty levels are also described by Try Hard Guides.
For each board, begin by counting which pip values are scarce and checking regions with exact totals or equality conditions. A forced placement in one region may determine what must go in a neighboring blank or another region. The hints below reveal the main deduction without giving coordinate placements; the archive’s text does not provide a complete coordinate-by-coordinate key.
Easy hints and reported solution (ID 595)
Hint
Use the zeroes in the Light Blue Equal region, then satisfy Red 11 with the two values that add to 11. Purple 4 can be made with two 2s. The remaining dominoes help fill Yellow >3 and its adjacent blank.

Reported solution path
The archive assigns the 0-0 domino vertically to Light Blue Equal and places 0-5 horizontally. Red 11 takes 5+6, while Purple 4 takes 2+2. The described placements also include 6-2 vertically and 2-1 vertically, with the 1 entering the blank. Finally, 4-2 goes vertically to Yellow >3, with 4 in the yellow region and 2 in the blank.
Medium hints and reported solution (ID 624)
Hint
Purple 1 must total 0+0+1. Only two dominoes in this pool contain zeroes, so track them carefully: the 2 pip is forced into the blank. From there, use the only 4 to constrain Yellow 5 and the Purple Equal region.

Reported solution path
The archive’s first deduction is that Purple 1 contains 0+0+1. Because the two zero-containing dominoes are the only source of zeroes, the 2 pip is forced into the blank. Yellow 5 must total 1+4; the only 4 appears on 6-4, which forces the Purple Equal region to take 6.
The next reported placements use 0-2, 0-1, and 1-3 across Purple 1, Green <2, and Light Blue >2. To finish, Blue Equal takes 6 and Red Equal takes 3, using 6-6, 3-3, and 3-5.

Hard hints and reported solution (ID 648)
Hint
Start with the scarce values: the pool has only two halves showing 4 and two halves showing 1. Use the 1 placement to force Green Equal to 6, then track the remaining dominoes as the equal-value regions are resolved.
Reported solution path
The listed pool is 6-6, 6-4, 6-1, 6-0, 5-5, 5-0, 4-3, 3-3, 3-2, 3-0, 2-2, and 1-0. The archive uses the 1 placement to force Green Equal to 6. It then assigns 4-6, 6-6, 6-1, and 6-0 around Yellow 4, Green Equal, the blank, and Bottom Blue Equal.

Later, Bottom Blue Equal takes 0 and Yellow Equal takes 5. The remaining dominoes resolve Top Blue Equal to 0, Purple Equal to 3, Right Light Blue Equal to 2, and Left Light Blue Equal to 3. These are the archive’s reported deductions and placements; its text does not establish exact grid coordinates for every domino.
