What is the spangram?
The spangram is THANKFUL. It connects the theme words to the puzzle’s focus on gratitude.
How Strands works
Parade’s guide describes the rules as attributed to the New York Times: theme words fill the board, while the spangram summarizes the theme and touches two opposite sides. Finding three non-theme words earns a hint. For touch-screen play, the guide says to double-tap the final letter to submit a word. These instructions are reported by Parade; the official NYT rules page was not independently retrieved.
