These hints and placements are for the NYT Pips puzzle dated Monday, November 3, 2025—not a different puzzle from another year. The Hard board has a text-based walkthrough below; exact Easy and Medium placements could not be verified from the available text, so they are not guessed here.
How to use these Pips hints
Pips asks you to place every supplied domino while satisfying the conditions shown in the board’s colored regions. Depending on the region, its pip values may need to match or differ, be greater or less than a stated number, equal an exact value, or meet no special condition. The puzzle has Easy, Medium, and Difficult tiers.
For a spoiler-light start on the Hard board, focus on the Dark Blue region marked >16. Its requirement calls for several large pip values, including both sixes, making it a useful anchor for placing the first dominoes.
Hard board: November 3 placements
The following sequence is the walkthrough reported by Forbes. Read each pair as the two ends of one domino; the region names and conditions identify where to place those ends. Pips can sometimes allow more than one valid solution, so this is a reported solution rather than a claim that it is the only possible arrangement.
