Why the year matters
A yearless “January 29” answer page can refer to more than one Mini. The 2024 puzzle had different answers: Across was RED, ADOPT, MINER, STORE, and RUE; Down was RAMS, EDIT, DONOR, PERU, and TREE. The New York Times describes the Mini as a crossword in which solvers fill white squares with letters to form crossing words or phrases by solving Across and Down clues.
