NYT Connections #283 was published Wednesday, March 20, 2024. Use the four hints below for a nudge before opening the category labels or complete answer groups—both spoiler sections are marked clearly.
How to approach Connections #283
Connections asks you to sort 16 words into four groups of four based on a shared theme. The categories progress from yellow, generally the easiest, to purple, generally the trickiest. Some words can plausibly fit more than one theme, so look for a grouping that accounts for exactly four words without leaving an awkward extra.
For a spoiler-light solve, scan the board for concrete settings or objects first, then consider words that name origins or identities. If the remaining words still resist a clean grouping, check whether they begin with familiar names.
