Travis Hunter’s reported wedding gift to Leanna Lenee was a Mercedes-Benz AMG G63 Brabus 800, unveiled in a social-media video after their May 2025 wedding in Tennessee. The widely repeated $600,000 figure is not a confirmed purchase price: published estimates range from more than $200,000 to as much as $700,000.
What was Travis Hunter’s wedding gift?
Reports identified the vehicle as a Mercedes-Benz AMG G63 Brabus 800. CBS Sports described a video showing the car’s reveal and said it appeared to be a wedding gift from Hunter. ESPN reported that Hunter gifted Lenee the black SUV, citing a circulating video. Neither report included a direct statement from the couple or purchase documentation.
The couple married in Tennessee in May 2025, according to CBS Sports and ESPN. Us Weekly named The Barn at Faith Farms as the venue, attributing that detail to the Daily Mail; its article spells the vehicle “AMG G36 Brabus 800,” unlike CBS Sports and ESPN, which identify it as a G63.
Is the car really worth $600,000?
No verified transaction price establishes that figure. The $600,000 amount in the headline is best understood as an estimate rather than a confirmed price. The three reports published on May 25, 2025, give different descriptions of the value:

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How certain is it that Hunter gave her the car?
The coverage is based on video of the reveal, but the wording differs. CBS Sports qualified the attribution, saying the SUV appeared to be Hunter’s gift; ESPN stated that he gifted it. The reviewed reports do not provide a direct confirmation from Hunter or Lenee, or an official record identifying the purchaser. The careful answer is that it was widely reported as Hunter’s wedding gift, while the underlying reports do not document the purchase.
