Netflix’s March 2026 U.S. price increase covered all three standalone plans: Standard with ads rose to $8.99 a month, Standard to $19.99, and Premium to $26.99. Netflix says it periodically adjusts prices, but it has not identified a next plan to get more expensive or announced another U.S. increase. Any claim that one tier is next would be speculation.
What are Netflix’s new U.S. prices?
The following are U.S. standalone monthly prices reported in March 2026. New subscribers faced the new prices beginning March 26; existing members were scheduled to move to them on different billing dates over the following months.

TechCrunch reported the prices and rollout after Netflix confirmed them to the outlet; the Los Angeles Times also reported the three increases. These are U.S. prices, not a guide to prices elsewhere: Netflix says plan offerings vary by country, and partner bundles may have different billing arrangements.
Which plan might get more expensive next?
There is no evidence here that one U.S. tier is more likely than another to rise next. Netflix says it offers multiple price points and periodically adjusts prices and tests plans to understand consumer demand. That policy explains why prices can change; it does not identify a date, amount, or plan for a future increase.

Since all three U.S. standalone plans rose in March 2026, any could be reviewed again in the future. That is a possibility, not a forecast: no source cited here establishes a subsequent U.S. increase or a preferred target tier.
In its January 20, 2026 earnings call, co-CEO Greg Peters said of whether the Warner Bros. transaction changed Netflix’s pricing approach: “There is no impact or change to our approach and how we’re running the business in that regard.” That answer addressed the transaction’s effect on the company’s approach; it was not a prediction of the next increase.

How to check whether your Netflix bill is changing
Netflix says it will email members and show an in-product message one month before a price increase takes effect on their billing date. You can review your plan price and payment history in your Netflix account. If a partner package or add-on bills you for Netflix, the partner—not Netflix—sends the price-change notice.
Because existing subscribers’ new prices were phased in according to billing dates, the March announcement did not mean every account changed on March 26. Check the notice and account details for your own effective date and charge.

Is Standard with ads worth switching to?
It costs less than the ad-free plans, but the experience is not identical. Netflix says ads appear during most shows and movies, and a small number of titles are unavailable because of licensing restrictions. The plan is not offered in every region, and some devices may not support it if their app or software cannot be updated.
Compare the options using the price in your country, whether you are comfortable with ad breaks, whether the titles you watch are available, device support, and how you pay. Netflix’s investor relations page said ads plans were available in 12 markets in 2026 and that the company planned to add 15 more markets in 2027; that announced expansion does not mean the plan is available everywhere now.

What Netflix’s pricing statements do—and don’t—tell you
Netflix says price changes can reflect investment in the service, added content or product features, and local conditions such as taxes or inflation. Those are general explanations, not a formula that lets subscribers predict which tier will change next. The March 2026 U.S. increase is confirmed; a later plan-specific hike is not.
