Camp Courage
Directed by Max Lowe, this short documentary follows Milana, a young Ukrainian girl, and her grandmother Olga at a summer camp in the Austrian Alps for families affected by war. The camp challenges participants to test their bravery. Netflix’s synopsis, quoted in BGR, says the film is less about the conflict itself than about families’ quiet resilience as they work to rebuild amid and after it.
Netflix releases dated October 19, 2023
Bodies
This crime mystery adapts Si Spencer’s graphic novel. A body is discovered in London’s East End in four different years—1890, 1941, 2023 and 2053—and a detective in each period investigates. The separate cases connect to a conspiracy spanning more than 150 years, according to the Netflix synopsis quoted by BGR. Readers curious about the series’ source can look to Spencer’s graphic novel; it is background material, not required viewing.

Doona
This Korean coming-of-age romance, created by Lee Jung-hyo, stars Bae Suzy as a former K-pop idol who shares a home with an ordinary college freshman. Lee previously directed Crash Landing on You.
