The Netflix preview published March 21, 2025, covered two different releases: The Life List, a Sofia Carson romantic drama announced for March 28, and Million Dollar Secret, a reality competition announced for March 26. One follows a young woman working through goals her late mother left behind; the other asks contestants to find—and keep secret—the identity of a player holding $1 million. Those dates are the original 2025 schedule, not confirmation of current availability.
What the Netflix preview covered
BGR’s March 21, 2025 preview introduced The Life List and Million Dollar Secret as separate Netflix releases. They differ in both format and premise: one is a scripted romantic drama built around a personal list, while the other is a reality competition built around concealed money and suspicion.
| Title | Format and central hook | Original announced date |
|---|---|---|
| The Life List | Romantic drama about completing teenage goals after the protagonist’s mother dies | March 28, 2025 |
| Million Dollar Secret | Reality competition in which contestants try to conceal or identify the person holding $1 million | March 26, 2025 |
The dates above are the schedule reported in BGR’s preview, not a statement about where either title is streaming now. The preview does not establish current availability by country.
What is The Life List about?
The Life List stars Sofia Carson as a young woman who, after her mother’s death, is asked to pursue the goals she wrote down as a teenager. The premise turns an old list into a route through grief, personal change and the plans she once imagined for herself.

The film’s source novel
The film is based on Lori Nelson Spielman’s bestselling novel, The Life List. Readers interested in the story’s source can look for Lori Nelson Spielman’s book; the preview identifies the novel as the basis for the adaptation, not as a film tie-in. It does not verify a current edition or retailer listing.
How does Million Dollar Secret work?
The competition starts with contestants finding boxes in their rooms. One box contains $1 million. The person who finds it may keep the money if they hide their identity as the holder, while the other contestants try to work out who has it. That concealment-and-deduction mechanic is the show’s central hook.

What the preview says about Sofia Carson’s Netflix history
BGR noted that Carson had appeared in Carry-On and reported in 2025 that Netflix described that film as its number two movie of all time. This is a historical ranking claim attributed by BGR to Netflix in its March 21, 2025 preview; it should not be read as a current ranking.

The source is a dated entertainment preview, useful for understanding the original announcement and the two concepts. It does not establish current Netflix catalog status by region, or provide enough detail to compare cast beyond Carson’s role, episode count, age rating or critical reception.
