Nelly Furtado fell while performing “Eat Your Man” with Dom Dolla at Coachella on April 13, 2024. She got back up and continued singing. Afterward, she shared a photo showing a bloody finger or thumb and joked, “Eat your man, not the stage.” Reports do not establish why she fell or provide a medical diagnosis.
What happened during the Coachella performance?
Furtado joined Dom Dolla as a guest during his first-weekend set at the 2024 festival. They performed “Eat Your Man,” their 2023 collaboration. During the song, she lost her footing and fell; she quickly got back up and continued singing, according to Entertainment Tonight and The Independent.
The incident took place on Saturday, April 13. Reports about it appeared on April 15, 2024. An Entertainment Tonight video also showed Furtado displaying her hand after the fall.
Did Nelly Furtado get hurt?
Furtado later posted an image showing a bloody finger or thumb. The reports describe visible blood, but do not establish the injury’s severity, whether she received medical treatment, or a diagnosis. They also do not verify what caused her to fall, so claims that the stage was slippery or that a particular movement caused it go beyond the available reporting.

How did Furtado and Dom Dolla come to work together?
Their Coachella appearance followed their collaboration on “Eat Your Man.” In a Recording Academy interview, Dom Dolla said Furtado’s management had contacted him because she had been listening to his music and wanted him to produce material for her return. He also discussed their planned appearance at Australia’s Beyond the Valley festival. This is background to their musical partnership, not evidence about the cause or consequences of the Coachella fall.
