Nathan Morris returned to Nova 93.7’s Nathan, Nat & Shaun breakfast show on 5 May 2025, after being largely absent from the studio since early March. His return was a dated event, not confirmation of his current on-air status: a report published on 1 September 2026 said he remained absent from the program at that time.
Why was Nathan Morris absent from Nova 93.7?
Nova announced Morris’s return on 2 May 2025, after an absence that PerthNow said had left him largely unheard and unseen in the studio since early March. Earlier, Nova had told PerthNow: “Nathan will be on personal leave from the breakfast show for the current survey period. Nat and Shaun will continue to co-host the show while Nathan takes a break.” This was Nova’s explanation of his leave, as quoted by PerthNow—not a statement from Morris. PerthNow, 2 May 2025.
What did Morris say when he returned?
On his first broadcast back, on 5 May 2025, Morris described the issue as a personal matter. He said it had begun the previous year and resurfaced in 2025, but that he could not discuss it further because of legal proceedings. He described them as unrelated to him. PerthNow, 5 May 2025.
Morris said: “Something happened in my personal life that was one of these monumental things that happens that you can’t really process.” He also said: “It started back last year and reared again this year. I can’t speak too much about it because there is legal proceedings that’s got nothing to do with me but I cannot speak about it because of that.” His public comments did not identify the people involved or the nature of the proceedings, and do not establish a diagnosis or further personal details.

Did Nathan Morris stay on the show?
The May 2025 return should not be read as proof that Morris is on air now. The latest dated status in the available reporting is a 1 September 2026 article in The West Australian, which described him as continuing to be absent from the show. The West Australian, 1 September 2026.
