NYX Professional Makeup’s Sex Education collection was a six-product limited-edition collaboration launched on August 28, 2021—not a new 2026 release. It arrived ahead of the Netflix series’ season-three premiere on September 17, 2021, with products inspired by characters including Otis, Maeve, Ola, Aimee and Eric.

Magic Maker Shadow Palette
NYX Mexico describes the six-shade palette as inspired by Eric, with colorful pigments in different finishes. The brand suggests applying the shadows with a brush or fingertips and recommends using an eyeshadow primer to help the colors look more vivid and last longer. 1st Base Blurring Primer
NYX Mexico’s directions are to apply a pea-sized amount to clean skin, wait a few minutes, then apply foundation. How did NYX frame the collaboration?
NYX marketed the collection as gender-neutral or gender-fluid and connected it with the brand’s Proud Allies for All initiative. At launch, Yann Joffredo, then NYX Professional Makeup’s global brand president, said the collection was designed with everyone in mind and created to support the series’ third-season premiere. NYX Spain presented the collaboration as back-to-school makeup and associated it with the Los Angeles LGBT Center. Global Cosmetic Industry also reported a scholarship opportunity for eligible applicants pursuing beauty school for the 2022 school year. Possibly, but availability depends on the item, retailer and region. NYX labels the collection limited edition; when checked for this article, NYX’s U.S. Bush Tamer page showed an out-of-stock variation, and Beauty Bay’s Magic Maker palette listing was also marked out of stock. These examples do not establish that every product is unavailable everywhere, but the collection should not be treated as readily in stock.
