The spangram is mostly vertical. TechRadar and Parade report that its path touches the left side of the board at row 3 and the right side at row 8. Those placement clues do not establish its complete route.
How Strands hints work
Strands is a word-search-style game. The theme words fill the board without overlapping, while the spangram describes the theme and connects two opposite sides. According to Parade’s summary of the NYT rules, finding three non-theme words earns a hint that reveals letters from a theme word.
