Hints for Strands #107
The official theme hint is “It’s right under your nose!” A gentler nudge: think of facial hair, especially a mustache. Forbes also offers the prompt “If, that is, you haven’t shaved.”
How to approach the puzzle
Strands is a word-search-style game: trace adjacent letters to form words related to the theme. Finding words that are not theme answers can earn hints. The spangram describes the theme, stretches between opposite sides of the grid, and is highlighted differently from the other theme words. These mechanics are described by Try Hard Guides; an official NYT rules source was not available for this guide.
