#1 Best Overall
Green: STREW
LITTER, PEPPER, SCATTER, and SPRINKLE can all mean to spread or distribute things over an area.
Blue: WRINKLY THINGS
BRAIN, CREPE PAPER, PRUNE, and SHAR PEI share a wrinkled or folded appearance.
Purple: SWEET ____
Each tile completes a familiar phrase beginning with “sweet”: sweet potato, sweet sixteen, sweet talk, and sweet tooth. The connection is phrase completion rather than a shared type of object.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.A quick solving approach
Connections asks you to arrange sixteen words into four groups of four linked by a common idea. Because some words can plausibly fit more than one theme, hold off on submitting a group when you have only a likely trio. Test whether a fourth tile fits the same rule, then submit the set; TechRadar reports that players can make up to four mistakes.
