The official synopsis frames the story around Sidney’s effort to protect her family and stop the bloodshed. It does not identify the killer, so the trailer’s threat should not be treated as confirmation of anyone’s identity or of a specific twist. Watch Paramount Pictures’ official final trailer.
What Paramount confirms about the story
Paramount’s official synopsis says: “When a new Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has built a new life, her darkest fears are realized as her daughter (Isabel May) becomes the next target. Determined to protect her family, Sidney must face the horrors of her past to put an end to the bloodshed once and for all.”

That makes Sidney’s daughter—not a newly identified killer or a confirmed plot twist—the clearest story detail in the official material. The trailer and synopsis establish the family danger and Sidney’s response, but do not verify more specific revelations.
Director, screenplay and cast
Paramount credits Kevin Williamson as director. Williamson and Guy Busick wrote the screenplay; James Vanderbilt and Busick are credited with the story. The listed cast includes Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, Isabel May, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, Anna Camp, Joel McHale, Mckenna Grace, Michelle Randolph, Jimmy Tatro, Asa Germann, Celeste O’Connor, Sam Rechner, Ethan Embry, Tim Simons and Mark Consuelos.

Where to watch ‘Scream 7’
Paramount’s film page currently lists Scream 7 as available digitally. Paramount Press Express announced on May 21, 2026 that the film would arrive on Paramount+ on May 28 in the United States and Canada; the service currently lists the title. That announcement establishes availability for those two countries, not for every territory, and streaming catalogs can change by location and date.
The Paramount+ listing gives the film a 2026 release year, an R rating and a runtime of 1 hour 54 minutes. These are listing details; viewers should check the Paramount+ page for their region for current availability and rating information.
