Netflix’s announced US-facing schedule for May 2025 included returning series, new films and documentaries, licensed catalogue additions, and a live fan event. The month was especially busy on May 1; notable premieres later included FOREVER, Nonnas, Love, Death & Robots: Volume 4, Sirens, Fear Street: Prom Queen, and Lost in Starlight. Dates and titles could change, and availability varies by country; this calendar records what was announced, not what remains in Netflix’s catalogue today. What’s on Netflix’s May schedule is primarily for the US, while Netflix Originals are often released more widely.
What was new on Netflix in May 2025?
The month mixed Netflix Originals with licensed films and series, so a Netflix arrival did not necessarily mean Netflix produced the title. The list below follows the announced US-facing dates. Country labels identify regional productions as shown in the schedule; they do not guarantee availability in every territory.

How to read this schedule
This is a historical release calendar, not a current availability checker. Regional licensing can make a title appear on a different date, or not appear at all, outside the US. For context on Netflix’s broad mix of films, series, and games, then-chief content officer Bela Bajaria said in Netflix’s January 2025 announcement: “With more than 700 million people watching, we can’t just be one thing. We need to be the best version of everything.” The figure is her statement at that time, not a current independently verified subscriber count.
