If you want movies, its March 2025 apocalyptic lineup ranges from satire to action, while Netflix’s documentary pick was Errol Morris’s Chaos: The Manson Murders. These are recommendations and US catalog dates from March 2025—not a guide to what Netflix streams today.
What should I watch for one night?
For a short, documentary-style watch: Our Universe
Netflix Tudum suggested sampling an episode or two of Our Universe, a six-episode nature docuseries narrated by Morgan Freeman. It singled out “Chasing Starlight” and “The Cosmic Clock” as possible starting points. This is a series, not a movie, but it fits a brief viewing window better than committing to a feature film. Netflix Tudum’s March 7, 2025 weekend guide is the source for the recommendation.
For a feature-length documentary: Chaos: The Manson Murders
For a documentary film, Tudum highlighted Errol Morris’s Chaos: The Manson Murders. Netflix’s January 30, 2025 slate announcement listed its release date as March 7, 2025. That date establishes the planned Netflix release in the announcement; it does not establish present-day availability. Netflix’s 2025 slate announcement.
