The 95% figure was T3’s Average Tomatometer score when it published its recommendation in 2023—not a promise that 95% of viewers liked the show, and not the current series-wide score.
What is Sweet Tooth about?
Netflix describes the series as a story set in a post-apocalyptic world shaped by a deadly illness and the emergence of hybrids. Gus travels with companions while trying to understand the illness, his family and the place of hybrids in this changed world. The series is based on Jeff Lemire’s DC comic-book series. Netflix Media Center’s series description provides the official premise.

What does the 95% Rotten Tomatoes score mean?
T3 reported a 95% Average Tomatometer and a 79% Average Audience Score in its May 28, 2023 article. Those are the figures behind the headline; they describe the scores at that time, not a permanent rating. Rotten Tomatoes’ Tomatometer and audience measure are separate indicators, so the critic score should not be read as the percentage of viewers who liked the series. T3’s original article gives its 2023 figures.
