Robert Plant is the best-supported answer to “Who is Wolves’ most famous fan?” The Premier League calls the Led Zeppelin singer the club’s most famous fan, and Wolves describes him as a lifelong supporter of his boyhood club. Other names identified by Wolves include Suzi Perry, Beverley Knight and Jacqui Oatley.
Why Robert Plant is Wolves’ most famous fan
The Premier League names Robert Plant as Wolves’ most famous fan. Wolves’ official profile describes the Led Zeppelin singer as a lifelong supporter and says he was appointed vice president of his boyhood club in 2009. Plant has said he first watched Wolves when he was five.
That combination of longstanding personal support and a formal club role makes Plant the clearest answer—not a measured ranking of celebrity supporters. The club’s Premier League profile reinforces his public prominence by explicitly calling him Wolves’ most famous fan.

Wolves shirt sightings are not the same as confirmed fandom
The same club history page says tennis player Andy Murray and boxer Mike Tyson have been shown wearing Wolves’ black and gold shirt. That establishes a shirt sighting, not that either is a lifelong supporter or a regular follower of the club. The available club wording does not make that stronger claim.
Was composer Edward Elgar a Wolves fan?
Wolves calls composer Sir Edward Elgar “almost certainly” the first nationally known Wolves fan. The qualification matters: it is a historical claim presented with uncertainty, rather than a definitive record of who came first.

How to read the list
The names do not all have the same kind of evidence behind them. Plant is described by Wolves as a lifelong supporter and held a club vice-presidency; Knight has publicly called herself a lifelong fan; Perry and Oatley appear on the club’s list of fans. Murray and Tyson are mentioned in connection with wearing the shirt, while Elgar’s place in the club’s history is explicitly qualified.
Wolves and the Premier League do not give a count or percentage of celebrity supporters. The defensible conclusion is therefore that Plant is the leading answer to “Which celebrities support Wolves?” in terms of prominence and evidence, not that he has been proven to outrank every other supporter by a formal measure.
