Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX began streaming on Prime Video in Japan on April 9, 2025. Amazon announced exclusive Prime Video distribution in more than 240 countries and regions outside Japan and Vietnam. That is the launch announcement, not a promise of current availability in every local catalog: check your country’s Prime Video listing for the latest.
When did GQuuuuuuX come to Prime Video?
Amazon Japan announced the release on March 7, 2025. In Japan, Prime Video began streaming the series on April 9 at 1 a.m. Japan Standard Time, with one new episode scheduled each Wednesday at that time. These are the original launch dates, not an upcoming premiere schedule.
Japan’s other release dates followed a different schedule: terrestrial television began April 8, other subscription platforms from April 11, and BS11 broadcasts on April 12, according to the official Japanese schedule. Those dates describe the 2025 rollout and do not establish what is available on those services today.
Is GQuuuuuuX on Prime Video in your country?
Amazon and the official English series page announced exclusive Prime Video distribution in more than 240 countries and regions, excluding Japan and Vietnam. The exclusion matters: the international announcement does not mean Prime Video was the Japanese launch service’s only outlet, and it does not establish current access in every territory.

Streaming catalogs and language options vary by country and can change. Open the Prime Video listing from your location to check whether the series is currently offered and which audio and subtitle tracks are available. Amazon’s 2025 announcement specified 10 dubbed languages and 29 subtitle languages for the announced release; it did not guarantee every option in every territory or in the current catalog. Bandai Namco separately described a worldwide rollout in 23 languages, excluding certain regions, a differently scoped figure rather than a territory-by-territory availability list.
How many episodes are listed?
The Prime Video listing, checked October 8, 2026, shows season 1 with 12 episodes. Episode access may still depend on the viewer’s region and the current listing.

What is the series about?
Amate Yuzuriha is a high-school student living in a space colony. After meeting Nyaan, she is drawn into Clan Battle, an illegal mobile-suit competition, and pilots the GQuuuuuuX under the name Machu. Her path crosses that of a mysterious Gundam and its pilot, Shuji.
The series was produced by Studio khara and SUNRISE, the visual-works brand of Bandai Namco Filmworks. Kazuya Tsurumaki directed; Yoji Enokido handled series composition, and Enokido and Hideaki Anno wrote the scripts. Bandai Namco described the collaboration as an effort to bring fresh creative stimuli to Gundam, with the series aimed at new and longtime fans alike.
