What was reported at first?
In its October 13 report, updated October 14, the Los Angeles Times said the cause was initially listed as deferred while testing continued. Authorities were investigating whether Romney had jumped or fallen. The report placed the response in the 24000 block of Town Center Drive, near Valencia Town Center, at about 9 p.m. on October 10. The Times’ early account reflects the status at that point; it was superseded by the medical examiner’s December findings.
