Pink said in a New Year’s post that she was getting two new discs in her neck. Sharing the update from a hospital bed, she described the procedure as part of paying attention to and fixing her body—but did not name a diagnosis or give a recovery timeline.
What Pink said about her neck surgery
On January 1, 2026, ABC News reported that Pink shared a hospital-bed photo and New Year’s message on Instagram. In the caption, she wrote: “It may not be a fancy Face lift, but I am getting two new shiny discs in my neck.” ABC News reproduced the post.
Pink also wrote that she was ending the year “giving reverence to, paying attention to, and to fixing my body.” She mentioned a new scar and described it as a reminder to appreciate her body and use it for all it is worth. Her line, “Rock ‘n’ roll is a contact sport,” was a quip in the caption, not an explanation of the medical reason for the operation.
Her New Year’s message from the hospital
The Independent reported that Pink spent New Year’s Eve in a hospital room while her family went snowboarding. In the same Instagram post, she expressed hope for 2026, wrote, “I choose joy and I leave behind the hurt,” and said she would work to help preserve other people’s choices. The Independent’s January 1, 2026 report also reproduced those remarks.
