Tortosa desarrolló una trayectoria de seis décadas en teatro, cine y televisión, y muchos espectadores la recuerdan como presentadora del programa musical Aplauso.
Qué se sabe de su fallecimiento
La primera noticia de RTVE, publicada el 23 de marzo de 2024, informó de su muerte en Barcelona y señaló que entonces se desconocía la causa. Más tarde, EFE y Europa Press recogieron un comunicado de Kananga Producciones que la atribuyó a una lucha contra el cáncer. El comunicado, transcrito por Europa Press, decía que Tortosa había llevado esa lucha «con máxima discreción».
Las informaciones disponibles no identifican un tipo de cáncer como causa de muerte. Por eso, no es posible precisar un diagnóstico clínico final a partir de esos comunicados. RTVE informó inicialmente de su fallecimiento; EFE y Europa Press publicaron después la actualización atribuida a su agencia.
Una carrera entre el teatro, el cine y la televisión
Nacida en Barcelona el 8 de marzo de 1947, Tortosa debutó en el teatro a los quince años como Dorita en El mago de Oz. Llegó al cine a los diecinueve con El último sábado, dirigida por Pedro Balañá. RTVE resume su filmografía cinematográfica en casi una treintena de películas y su trayectoria profesional en seis décadas, una cifra incluida en el comunicado de Kananga Producciones recogido por EFE.

De la interpretación a «Aplauso»
Su trabajo como actriz abarcó cine, teatro y televisión. Entre los títulos que permiten situar esa faceta figuran la película Pánico en el Transiberiano y las series Curro Jiménez, La huella del crimen y Hostal Royal Manzanares.
Para el público televisivo, una de sus facetas más reconocibles fue la presentación de Aplauso. RTVE sitúa su popularidad como presentadora desde 1978 y recuerda que el programa musical dio espacio a figuras internacionales. Su archivo conserva materiales relacionados con Tortosa; la semblanza y archivo de RTVE repasa esa trayectoria. También puede consultarse la pieza de RTVE Play sobre su fallecimiento; que haya materiales de archivo no significa que todas sus obras estén disponibles allí.

Más que la etiqueta del «destape»
Parte de la cobertura la describió como «musa del destape», etiqueta ligada a una etapa de su imagen pública. Pero por sí sola no da cuenta de su recorrido: comenzó en el teatro, trabajó en cine y televisión y fue también presentadora de un programa musical de gran alcance. Una mirada a su trayectoria necesita incluir esas facetas junto con la notoriedad que acompañó a algunas de sus apariciones.
