La cantaora flamenca catalana Thais Hernández murió el 26 de diciembre de 2023, a los 35 años. EFE informó, citando fuentes de su familia, que falleció a consecuencia de una enfermedad. Hernández actuó en escenarios como el Liceu, el Palau de la Música y el Palau Sant Jordi, y apareció en el documental Petitet.
Quién era Thais Hernández
Thais Hernández era una cantaora flamenca catalana. Nació en Sant Boi de Llobregat y creció en Castelldefels, según la información de EFE publicada por EL PAÍS.
Su trayectoria musical
EFE indicó que Hernández empezó su carrera musical a los 20 años. Europa Press precisó que comenzó a trabajar como corista en discos de flamenco y rumba catalana a los 22. Las fuentes ofrecen estas edades para distintos hitos de su recorrido.
Colaboró con el guitarrista Juan Gómez Chicuelo y con el grupo Sabor de Gràcia. Sicus Carbonell, músico de Sabor de Gràcia, dijo en una publicación en X reproducida por Europa Press que Hernández fue corista del grupo durante tres años. También apareció en Petitet, un documental relacionado con la música y la rumba catalana.

Su actividad la llevó a actuar en el Liceu, el Palau de la Música y el Palau Sant Jordi. Además de su carrera artística, compaginó la música con la docencia y estaba vinculada al Taller de Músics, según un homenaje institucional citado por Europa Press.
