These are historical premiere times; the Japanese broadcast began 31 minutes before the listed streaming release.
When did episode 1 come out in Japan?
The first episode’s Japanese terrestrial broadcast was scheduled for April 8, 2025, at 24:29 on the NTV network across 30 stations, according to the official series announcement. Japanese TV schedules sometimes use hours beyond 23:00 for programming that runs past midnight. In conventional calendar notation, 24:29 on April 8 is 00:29 on April 9, Japan Standard Time (JST).
Prime Video Japan announced a release time of 1:00 a.m. JST on Wednesday, April 9, 2025. Amazon described it as the domestic fastest streaming release; new episodes were planned for Wednesdays at 1:00 a.m., subject to changes caused by broadcast scheduling. See Amazon’s March 7, 2025 announcement.
Why do listings show April 8 and April 9?
They refer to the same overnight premiere window, not conflicting dates. The broadcaster’s schedule used the April 8 date with 24:29 notation; converting that time to the next day gives April 9 at 00:29 JST. Prime Video Japan’s listed 1:00 a.m. release was also on April 9, 31 minutes later.
